Office 365 contains a range of powerful tools to support teaching and learning. The applications are cloud based and were designed to enable teachers put learning in children's hands. With office 365 you get applications like Sway, Microsoft teams, Forms and yammer, it also offers a safe and personalized social network. Users also get online versions of Microsoft office tools like word, excel and power point.
Office 365 is offered free to schools worldwide.

MICROSOFT INNOVATIVE EDUCATOR TEACHER ACADEMIES
These half day, one day or two day training workshops cover a wide range of subjects , exposes the participant to the full range of Microsoft tools and new pedagogic practice. Participants receive a certificate of recognition and get the designation of Microsoft innovative educator. Participants also earn digital badges from Microsoft Education which they can use to demonstrate their proficiency with particular tools.
On Completion of two day academies, teachers are well positioned to sit the Microsoft Certified Examination to become a Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) and are eligible to receive three credit hours from Lamar University*. Three additional credit hours will also be awarded if educator demonstrates the use of technology skills learnt in their classroom, successful educators will be recognized by Lamar University as Certified digital Educators*, this is in addition to educator's MCE credential from Microsoft. These credits are accepted as prior coursework towards a Masters degree from Lamar University.
